A “Miyazakian” animation : Mushishi

For the ones who seek calm and slow animations, based on japonese’s culture and beliefs as Miyazaki does, Mushishi has been made for you.

It is the story of Ginko, a mushi’s specialist (mushi are living creatures seen only by a few humans) who walks all over Japan to find new mushis. This mushis always affect the humans around them with strange diseases like babies who are born in the trees, blindness, and realisation of dreams…

I know it sounds strange and weird, but try it believe me it’s great. There is 23/26 episodes subtitled in English here in direct download.

(Thanks to Thotsobek who made me watch this animation)
